The Sequoia Century is Western Wheelers' opportunity to show riders from in and out of the area our best routes to ride.

You will propose routes for the Sequoia and ride the routes to check feasibility. Once the routes are approved, you will prepare route sheets, time estimates. and maps. These documents are used by riders and SAG and are provided to law enforcement and pemitting agencies. The chair will report the route to the committee.  This function coordinates with the permit function, road monitors, signs and route marking. The date is somewhat arbitrary.  The route should be finalized by the end of March, barring unforeseen changes in road conditions.

Every year, on the first Sunday in June, Western Wheelers hosts the Sequoia Century.  This event is one of the most challenging and best run one-day bicycling events in Northern California.  We can't do it without our volunteers.
