Team Captain - Variable
Organizes the recruiting function. Interfaces with recruiters and various team captains. Attends meetings.

To register as a volunteer, please pick a category (Activity Chair, Member Volunteer o Nonmember Volunteer), as appropriate. Activity Chairs must first contact the Sequoia Chair at chair.sequoia2013@westernwheelers.org for a password. After selecting a category, you will be presented with a menu of volunteer activities and a selection of optional items. You may volunteer for more than one activity, but please make sure that the activities do not conflict.

The Recruiting staff is responsible for filling all Sequoia volunteer vacancies. Recruiting begins after our team captains have done initial recruiting of prior-year volunteers. We will also announce that on-line sign up is open. We will then determine what additional volunteers are needed to staff the Sequoia and you will contact members who have not yet volunteered to urge them to participate. Last minute recruiting is often needed to fill in for volunteers who have to drop out.

Recruiting volunteers will have an opportunity to ride the Sequoia. Alternatively, they may extend their club membership for a year.

Volunteering to help run the Sequoia can be hard work, but our volunteers are well rewarded through the gratitude of riders and the opportunity to get to know other Western Wheelers in a non-pedaling environment.
