UPDATE Friday 3/29 1:30 pm - The BERKELEY LDT is POSTPONED due to the rainy forecast. The following ride is a local replacement:

LDT RIDE: SARATOGA

B/2(2400’)/36; C/2(2600’)/42; DE/4(6000’)/52

This is a replacement ride for the postponed Berkeley LDT. B and C riders will take Mt. Eden and Pierce Roads to Saratoga for lunch at or near the Vienna Woods Deli. C’s will add a run up to the end of Stevens Canyon. D’s and E’s will follow the Coastal Classic route over Old La Honda, Hwy 84, and Tunitas Road for a long loop to San Gregorio and the coast. All routes may be modified on the way if rain threatens. Heavier rain cancels.

MEETING LOCATION: Gunn High School near the intersection of Foothill Expy. and Arastradero.

LDT RIDE: BERKELEY HILLS

This ride starts climbing as soon as you leave the parking lot! We’ll climb Tunnel Road, visit Inspiration Point in Tilden Park and climb a couple of the 3 Bears. B and C riders have a short but challenging 400’ climb up Happy Valley Road. D riders challenge “Pig Farm Hill” and Reliez Valley Road. While there are lots of hills, most are not steep and the views are gorgeous. E’s add more challenging hills, including Toyonal Drive with its 20% grade. Rain cancels.
