Western Wheelers Bicycle Club

About Membership (Click here to join)

Membership is open to the public. Both Individual and Family memberships are available. The Western Wheelers Bicycle Club, Inc. was founded in the early 1970s by a group of students at Menlo-Atherton High School. Now based in Palo Alto, it has grown to hundreds of members throughout the Bay Area. The Club offers a wide selection of road-bike rides:

*  Scenic rides throughout the beautiful Bay Area back roads almost every day of the week

*  Rides for all skill levels from beginner through advanced

In the monthly ride schedule, rides are described and rated by pace, hilliness, and distance to help you choose rides that will be enjoyable for you.

The Club’s Long Distance Training (LDT) rides, offered from January through May, help you to learn bicycling skills and get in shape for challenging summer rides. This program consists of Saturday rides, for each skill level, which become progressively longer and harder.

The Club also puts on the Sequoia Century, one of the best in the area, in June.

Club rides are great for meeting new friends and discovering new places to ride, and guests are welcome on most of our rides. Come on a ride with us and see how much fun bicycling can be!
