C-/4/31  MAUREEN'S CELEBRATION OF LIFE 

Maureen Brooks, a beloved member of our club, was sadly recently taken from us way too soon. On Sunday 10/25 Maureen's friends and family will be holding a "Celebration of Life" from 1-4 pm at Thomas Fogarty Winery, located on Skyline Boulevard (south of Old La Honda). Maureen's daughter Hilary has told us she expects this to be a casual "celebration party" - not a more formal service. On this ride we expect to arrive at the gathering around 1 pm and stay there for about an hour. There will be some food and drinks at the party, but not a real lunch, so riders should pack some snacks to eat at our regroups along the way. The relatively hilly route will climb Old La Honda Road and return via Page Mill Road (mostly downhill after the party). The ride will proceed at a modest C pace but C+ and D riders are encouraged to join us for a nice recovery ride to honor our friend...
