**Impromptu** C-/4/38 Saratoga to Los Gatos (The Hard Way)

  Join Guy Shuman and Mindy Steiner to explore the beautiful far reaches of Summit Road. Starting in Saratoga, we'll climb up Highway 9 at a leisurely pace, then follow Summit Road south along the "County Divide". Then we'll descend wonderful Old Santa Cruz Hwy to Los Gatos for lunch (note there is a short gravel section near Lexington reservoir), followed by an easy return. Lunch is at mile 30, so bring snacks and plenty of water. This is a "C-" ride with a social pace and frequent regroups. Meet at Saratoga High School (20300 Herriman Ave., Saratoga) at 9:45 for 10:00 departure. Directions: Hwy 85 to Sunnyvale-Saratoga Rd. exit, South on  Sunnyvale-Saratoga Rd., Left on Herriman, Right into school. Info: shumansteiner@gmail.com or 650-704-0895.
