**Impromptu** D/1.642 (3500')/85 Calaveras and Palomares

Meet Robert Neff (650-804-1245, robert@neffs.net) at 8:15 AM at Ramos Park, Palo Alto.  800 E. Meadow, just East of Middlefield. Leave at 8:30, or join along the route.  Enjoy some east side backcountry up Old Calaveras to Sunol, then Foothill to Dublin Canyon, and lovely Palomares Road.  Optional ride up Eden Canyon, too.  Starts across the south bay, ends across Fremont and the Dumbarton.  Bring food, and 2 big water bottles, maybe 3 (20 mile water gap).  Quick lunch stop about mile 44 at Togos if needed, and a 7-11 at mile 65.  It does not rain in July.  Route Sheet: www.neffs.net/CalaverasPalomares.pdf  Improvements on Abel Tasman welcome.
