  • Sat, December 06, 2014
  • 10:30 AM
  • Rancho Nicasio Bar & Restaurant, 1 Old Rancheria Rd., Nicasio

Join Moraya Khan and Cindy Asrir for one of the most spectacular rides in West Marin! Meet at 10:30 AM for a 10:45 AM departure at the Rancho Nicasio Bar and Restaurant, 1 Old Rancheria Rd in Nicasio. (Park by the street and avoid spaces next to 2-hr parking signs). Riding past the Nicasio Reservoir, we'll ascend the Petaluma Hill to regroup at the Cheese Factory. We'll ride through lush valleys before climbing the Marshall Wall with breathtaking views at the peak. We'll enjoy a dizzying descent to Shoreline Highway and have lunch/oysters at the Marshall Store by Tomales Bay, weather permitting. (If the weather does not cooperate, Plan B is lunch at Pt. Reyes Station at either the Cowgirl Creamery or the bike-friendly Station House Cafe). From the Marshall Store, we'll bike-surf the rolling terrain along the Shoreline Highway to the Bovine Bakery in Pt. Reyes Station, where we'll make a quick stop for sweets/coffee. From there, it's 10 miles to the end. http://ridewithgps.com/trips/2173423. Ride leaders: Moraya Khan (415-713-2716 or morkhan@comcast.net) and Cindy Asrir (415-571-6581 or casrir@gmail.com).
