B/1.2/26 Catch the Southbound

Jump on the southbound Caltrain (with your bike) to get to San Jose to start this pleasant ride along the Los Gatos Creek Trail and through and around Monte Sereno, Los Gatos, and a pinch of Saratoga on the way to Los Gatos for lunch at Andale Mexican in downtown Los Gatos. The No. 134 Caltrain leaves RWC at 9:57,MP 10:02, PA 10:05, Cal Ave 10:09, San Antonio 10:13, MV 10:17, Svl 10:22. Plenty of room for bikes. The furthest north car is a bike car and there is one 3 cars down from that. Train arrives SJ Diridon at 10:40. Probably easiest is to ride your bike to your start station, although at some stations you’ll find free parking on the street. After exiting the train at Diridon Sta in San Jose, go down the ramp, go right and then up the ramp outside. Your leaders, George Schuttinger (650-793-4221) and Bill Eaglstein (305-342-4053) will be amongst the troupe walking their bikes out of the station. After lunch we will take the trail directly to the San Jose station to catch the northbound #257 Train @ 2:40. All aboard!
