Club Meeting

Sunday, March 8, at 6:30 pm

Please sign up by midnight, Friday, March 6, so we know how many people to expect for the free pizza supper.

Meet Angeline Tan, former paralegal turned writer then endurance athlete. Angie turned to endurance sports to beat the typical desk-bound work week. Progressing quickly from marathons to triathlons to full Ironman race events, her insatiable appetite for endurance events has her setting her sights on riding across countries. After moving to Silicon Valley from Singapore to advance her husband's career as a software engineer, she challenged herself to ride across the United States in under 40 days!

Angie will present a documentary film of her 39-day adventure across America in a 39 minute documentary which was self-produced and distributed globally. Her followers include athletes and non-athletes alike from the United States, Canada, Germany, Finland and Asia - including her country of birth, Malaysia, and former country of residence, Singapore.

After the documentary screening, Angie will share some intimate accounts of the grueling challenges she encountered on the road and the invaluable lessons learned from her adventure, as well as answer questions from club members.
Please sign up on the website to reserve your spot. We will close the reservations when we reach 70. Refreshments, pizza and salad will be served.

The meeting will be held at the

H1 Lecture room at the North entrance
to Cubberley Community
Center, 4000 Middlefield Road,
Palo Alto
The lecture room is adjacent to Piazza Market.
